MIT Reality Hack 2022

Rippple provides a visually tangible and engaging experience by using the HoloLens 2 for 3d music visualization, creating a fusion of a user’s audible and physical environment. This project was created over the course of 48 hours with no prior experience working with Hololens 2 Universal Windows Platform, or MRTK. I was responsible for integrating creating the particle systems and using audio analysis to drive particle behaviors, as well as programming the UI. Our team saw this prototype as the being of an application to transform one’s music listening experience with customizable visuals depending on their mood and desires. Originally conceived with home music listening in mind, we quickly discover more possible use cases for outdoor walks, concerts, and listening to music while working to name a few.
